Comedians from the Idiot Box will perform at Triad Goodwill’s fashion fundraiser
GREENSBORO, NC – Triad Goodwill is putting the FUN in FUNdraising by adding a new feature to this year’s Rock the Runway fashion fundraiser. Comedians from the Idiot Box Comedy Club will take the mic during the event. The fashion fundraiser and silent auction will take place Friday, February 24 at the Elm Street Center in downtown Greensboro. Doors open at 5:30pm.
“Rock the Runway is such a fun, unique event to raise money and awareness for all of the great career services Triad Goodwill provides in our community,” stated Idiot Box Comedy Club Owner Steve Lesser. “The Idiot Box is proud to team up with Goodwill to bring the funny and help make this year’s event the best yet.”
The comedic fun will start when guests arrive! Strike a pose on Triad Goodwill’s NEW red carpet while sharing what you’re wearing with the comedians. Grab a prop and let our paparazzi complete your red carpet experience. After the Rock the Runway designs walk the runway, Lesser will perform stand-up during ballot counting for this year’s Audience and Judges’ Choice Awards.
Tickets for this unique fashion fundraiser start at $50 and are available only at GoodwillRockTheRunway.org. They make the perfect Valentine’s gift for the fashionista in your life or for a fun girls’ night out. Proceeds from the event benefit Triad Goodwill’s mission of providing development services for the un- and underemployed in Alamance, Caswell, Guilford, Randolph and Rockingham Counties.
In addition to the fashion and comedy shows, Rock the Runway includes a silent auction, Triad Goodwill’s pop-up shop Willows Boutique presenting the crème de la crème from their stores, heavy hors d’oeuvres from Visions Catering and a cash bar.
