Tiffany Flowers-Teague describes her design aesthetic as chic, unique and graceful. Tiffany has been a fashion fan since childhood, always dressing up her dolls and loving shopping trips to the mall. As a sophomore at North Carolina Central University, Tiffany joined a modeling troupe where all the models wore handmade clothing. At the time, she didn’t know how to sew, “but they taught me a few tricks and from there I knew I wanted to be in fashion. I then started to YouTube sewing techniques and my step mother also would help me successfully finish garments and I’ve loved sewing and designing ever since.”
Tiffany’s favorite thing about designing is that she can make a yard of fabric into “a limitless creation of ideas.” Tiffany lists D2Squared, Christian Dior and Alexander McQueen as her favorite designers.
The most interesting or unique item Tiffany ever created is a dress made from peacock feathers. “My symbol for my company is the peacock. This past year I made a dress with over 500 peacock feathers as my finale piece. That was fun and very cool to make,” she says.
If Tiffany could design for anyone in the world, she would choose singer/actress Kiki Palmer. “She is such an awesome person and her image is what my designs and creations compliment the most!”
