The Little Housecoat that Could
On my first visit to Goodwill to buy materials for the show, I found a vintage housecoat—floral and very colorful. I knew I wanted to do something with it. It is now part of a lovely top. The housecoat provided only enough fabric for the front of the top, so I had to figure out what to use for the back. The solution? Behind the Scenes with Designer – April Morgan
We had a photo shoot in early December to showcase our first completed outfit. Big thanks to Pamela with Leon's Style Salon for the awesome hair & make-up look she created for my model! I’m so pleased with the first outfit! The skirt was made from a dress I found at Goodwill (of course!). Because Torey Searcy Photography of the way I cut the pattern pieces, there is a button in one of the skirt pockets that used to be on the dress sleeve.
