I’m so excited to be a part of this fashion show! In addition to designing seven looks for this awesome event, I’m thrilled to be involved with something that will help people receive job training and helps our community.
In my process for my collection, so far I have a vision or theme: Joan vs. Stevie. I’m aiming to blend the glamour of the 40’s with the boho chic of the 70’s (Joan Crawford vs. Stevie Nicks).
I have made my first trip to Goodwill for items to start two looks. This is progressing very well. Before I started shopping, I thought I was going to go in with my ideas and find the things to turn into my vision, but it was the other way around. I had to let the clothes there speak to me and adjust accordingly.
