I began my career studying fashion design at Marist College and The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, my home state. This May I obtained my B.S. in Fashion Merchandising and Design from North Carolina A&T State University. I am currently pursuing my Masters in consumer, apparel, and retail studies. I’ve had the privilege of receiving mentorship and an internship under renown NY designer Paul Carroll, where I gained valuable knowledge and expertise in creative design and product development. My design aesthetic is devoted to classic silhouettes with clean lines that are both feminine and structured.
I believe in the importance of community involvement, inspiring others, and giving back. When I’m not designing I’m engaged In family activities as a mom, and instructing several after school programs in the arts and fashion sewing through Communities In Schools of Greater Greensboro(CIS). It is both my personal and career goal to explore every area of my passion for fashion design, and be able to “pay it forward” by reaching back to nurture the talents of others.
