Describe what inspired the look for your collection:
The resilience of classic styles inspired my collection. Innovation is as simple as colors and patterns are my palette- clothes are my canvas. The 60’s were about the ordinary person’s change. I am an ordinary person doing extraordinary things. I don’t have to dress like it. My collection makes people feel groovy, fabulous, and out of this world great about themselves, no matter who they are. What some see as ordinary, I see as fashion waiting to happen.
What has been / do you anticipate will be the biggest challenge in making your vision a reality?
What has been my biggest challenge has been to simply narrow down my collection to only six looks. This opportunity has opened up my eyes as a designer to so many different items outside the norm. I am ready for the challenge.
What pieces did you find at Triad Goodwill that will make your collection stand out?
After searching high and low for the perfect treasure, I found some vinyl circles, closures, and curtains that will be the talk of the town for decades to come.
