Brief Bio:

I’m Chloe Bacot, and I am a rising senior at UNCG majoring in apparel and product design with a business minor. I am the Vice President of Design for UNCG’s fashion club, Threads, and in my free time I work at a local boutique, Rebecca and Company, which compliments my interests and passions. This past summer, I worked in New York City interning for the design team at Alice and Olivia. Once I graduate, I hope to move to the city and immerse myself in the industry. I see fashion as an art; I love to play with colors and styles. One word to describe my look is versatile–on Monday you’ll see me in pink and green, and by Tuesday I’m in a choker and black doc martins. I see getting ready each morning as an opportunity to play dress up.

I am fortunate enough to have discovered a career path in which I can pursue my interest to the fullest, and I’m ecstatic to be chosen as one of the 2015 Rock the Runway designers. I’ve been a part of the show for the past two years on both the styling and modeling committees, and I’m thrilled to get the opportunity to display my work on the runway and represent Triad Goodwill. I look forward to being a part of this fantastic event!

Three words that describe me as a designer are: Innovative, Daring, and Sophisticated

What motivates you as a designer?  Being a designer I‘m amazed that I can make my daydreams and sketches tangible. As a creator I love providing other people with an outlet to express themselves and push their personal fashion boundaries.

Who are your favorite designers?  My two all time favorite designer are Proenza Schouler and Chloe. I admire Proenza Schouler for their funky and daring look and I have always loved Chloe’s classic designs.

I love Goodwill because… It’s a place where you can’t plan what you are going to leave with, but you always leave feeling satisfied.
