Brief Bio:

I always struggle to write bio’s about myself. What do people want to know about me? Will they read it? Well, I decided to keep this pretty basic and to the point. I  present a list of all things that sum me up pretty well. Here goes: Fashion, Vintage, Champagne, Museums, The 80’s, 80’s Music, Fleetwood Mac, Madonna,      The British, The 20’s, Nostalgia, The B-52’s, The 60’s, Strawberry Cake, Marianne Faithful, Brigitte Bardot, French Bulldogs, History, Monograms, Color,

Alex Katz, Art, Sewing (duh.), Downton Abby, Call the Midwife, Sandwiches, Vivienne Westwood.

But really, I’m qualified:
BS in Fashion Merchandising, Design Concentration. Meredith College.
My grandmother Fairy McIntosh taught me to sew when I was 7 or 8. She got tired of me asking her to make clothes for my dolls.
Designing clothing for over 10 years. Extensive knowledge of vintage clothing. It’s a passion.
Owner of The Blonde Factory, handmade accessories for women. I started my business out of a passion to just design headbands that work and are stylish. I also needed an outlet to keep me sewing. In 2014 The Blonde Factory will keep growing and will feature more apparel items.

How would you describe your collection?  A mash-up of vintage and modern silhouettes with a touch of rock and roll.

Give us three words that describe you as a designer:  Vintage with modern flair. I take a lot of my inspiration from the past and translate those looks for today.

I love Goodwill because I can pull things from the racks that are different and unique. I can wear them as is or I can create an item into something one-of-a-kind.
